13 Best Antalya Hotels with Water Parks

by Ricky Stratty

Want a theme park with your slides, without paying for a day ticket? Book Belek. Two hotels at its Kadriye end share The Land of Legends water park, and your stay covers the gate. Come between April and October, though, because Aqua Land shuts for the winter. Here’s where I’d book, depending on how big a park your kids want.

Quick answer: Book The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel. Aqua Land’s slides come with the stay, and its Family Suite gives the kids a bedroom of their own.

What Land of Legends Hotel Guests Get

The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel and The Land of Legends Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Antalya stand about 130 metres apart, and both share Aqua Land, the water park inside The Land of Legends theme park.

  • Unlimited for the whole stay: Entry to the theme park and Aqua Land comes with the room at both hotels, and visits aren’t capped. Both packages take in Nickelodeon Land too, so park entry is the same from either hotel.
  • Pay-as-you-go extras: Dolphin Land and Street Games cost extra. Food and drink outside your meal plan does too, and it all comes off a wristband balance. Agree a budget with the kids before you go in.
  • Fast Track comes with one Nickelodeon suite: At the Nickelodeon Hotel, only the Star Trek-themed suite includes Fast Track. Every other room there gets park entry without it.
  • Check the name for “Access”: Hotels with “The Land of Legends Access” in their names aren’t next door. The two in Belek sit 8 to 9 km from the park in a straight line, and the one in Antalya city 29 km. Getting in means a ride each way.

I’d choose between Kingdom Hotel and the Nickelodeon Hotel on rooms and food, and sort Fast Track before you fly.

River Rides and Racer Slides

Read the ride list before the slide count. It tells you who a park suits.

  • Ride the Wild River: Aqua Land’s river ride is the Wild River. The park also has the Wave Shock Pool, for kids who’d rather bob about than queue for a tower.
  • Two tubes race side by side: The park at Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort was the first to get the King Cobra, where two double tubes race into an 8-metre plunge. Lara Barut Collection has the Dragero, a mat racer.
  • Drops and loops: Lara Barut‘s Looping Rocket drops riders into a loop. The Black Hole at Kaya Palazzo Golf Resort runs 125 metres. Miracle Resort Hotel‘s Tunnel Freefall is the short one, at 22 metres.
  • On a raft: Miracle has the Black Hole Rafting Slide, 107 metres long. Aqua Land adds Rafting Rapids to its ride list.

For a loop, I’d book Lara Barut.

Belek or Lara for a Water Park Hotel

Lara and Kundu sit 7 to 12 km from Antalya Airport in a straight line, and Belek and Kadriye 16 to 28 km.

  • Belek for the theme park: The Land of Legends sits in Kadriye, at Belek’s western end, 8 to 13 km east of the Lara and Kundu hotels in a straight line. Stay in Belek if Aqua Land is the reason for the trip.
  • Two Belek resorts sit on Blue Flag sand: Voyage Belek Golf & Spa‘s Blue Flag beach is a Caretta turtle nesting site. Paloma Grida owns its stretch of Blue Flag sand.
  • Check the shoreline in Lara: At Liberty Hotels Lara, the sand shelves gently into the sea on a Blue Flag beach. Nirvana Cosmopolitan‘s sand turns a little pebbly at the waterline, and Miracle‘s 150-metre beach mixes sand and pebbles. For kids still finding their feet in the sea, Liberty‘s slope is the easier start.

For a week with the theme park, I’d stay in Belek, and I’d save Lara for a short break, when the quicker transfer counts.

When Antalya Hotel Water Parks Open

Aqua Land and the resorts that publish a slide season open in April, and their closing dates differ by a few weeks.

  • April to October: Aqua Land opens from April to October, and Nirvana and Miracle run their slides through the same months. Liberty‘s main slide pool keeps that season too. Daytime highs reach 30 to 34°C from June to September.
  • Stay into early November: Maxx Royal‘s slides keep going into early November. The hotel stays open all winter.
  • When the whole resort shuts: TUI MAGIC LIFE Belek opens in mid-April and closes in mid-November. Outside those months there’s no stay to book there at all.
  • Some pools stay cold: None of the seven pools at TUI MAGIC LIFE Belek is heated. Lara Barut heats its pools from December to April, weather permitting, and leaves its lagoon pools unheated.

I’d book June to September for warm water and long slide days.

Slides and Splash Pools for Younger Kids

Kaya Palazzo sets height limits on some of its slides without publishing the figures.

  • Shallow pools with their own slides: Liberty Hotels Lara‘s kids’ pool is 40 cm deep, with fountains and slides. At TUI MAGIC LIFE Belek, the children’s pool has a slide. There’s a covered baby pool there too.
  • Look past the big towers at Maxx Royal: Maxx Royal has separate water slides for children. Its three children’s pools include an indoor one.
  • Babies get a pool of their own: Lara Barut keeps separate pools for babies, for children and for adults. The aquapark is on the same grounds.

With under-fives, I’d choose the hotel by its kids’ pools and treat the big slides as a bonus.

Swim-Up and Pool-Access Rooms

A swim-up room saves the walk to the pool with wet towels and small kids.

  • Swim-up family suites: Lara Barut‘s Garden Section has family suites with swim-up pool access. They’re sold as the Deluxe Family Suite Swim Up. At Miracle, the Family Swim Up Suite has a terrace that opens onto the pool.
  • Save Voyage’s lagoon rooms for high summer: Voyage‘s Lagoon Duplex Swim Up rooms open onto an unheated pool. Book them for July and August.
  • Paloma Grida’s Lagoon Suites open onto the water: Paloma Grida‘s Lagoon Suites have direct access to its two lagoon pools. Both are 140 cm deep, so keep non-swimmers within arm’s reach.

Before July, I’d skip the swim-up and book a room near a heated pool instead.

FAQs

1. What is the best resort in Antalya with a water park?

The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel wins when the kids want a theme park as well as slides, since the room includes entry to both the rides and Aqua Land. Book Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort if you’d rather the whole trip happened inside one resort. Beyond the slides, it has Dinoland, with its dinosaur replicas, plus a games room with laser tag and bowling.

2. Are water parks included at all-inclusive hotels in Antalya?

Yes at the two Land of Legends hotels, where entry to Aqua Land comes with every stay, and at Voyage Belek Golf & Spa, which lists a free aquapark among its perks. Elsewhere, read the room description for the slides before you book. A hotel that names its aquapark as a facility but says nothing about payment hasn’t promised it, so ask.

3. Can you buy a day ticket for Aqua Land at The Land of Legends?

Daily tickets are sold to anyone, in adult (12 and over) and child (4 to 11) categories, and they include the water slides. One ticket covers every themed land. Guests at The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel and The Land of Legends Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Antalya don’t need one. From Kaya Palazzo Golf Resort, about 2 km away in a straight line, a day ticket makes the park an easy day out.

4. Is an aqua park the same as a water park at Antalya hotels?

Neither word tells you the size, so judge the park by its layout. At Paloma Grida, the slides drop into a 120 cm aquapark pool, set apart from the eight other outdoor pools. Kaya Palazzo Golf Resort has its own Aqua Tower, with small slides and fountains, in a separate pool for younger children. Look for a dedicated slide pool before you trust either word.

5. Are there water park hotels in Side or Kemer?

Side and Kemer both have them, though both mean a longer transfer: Side sits 82 km from Antalya Airport and Kemer 39 km in a straight line. In Kemer, Rixos Sungate has two aquaparks of its own, one of them for children. In Side, Palomaqua is a 19-slide park between Paloma Finesse and Paloma Orenda, a few minutes’ walk from each. Paloma Grida in Belek doesn’t use it. Pick Side only if those 19 slides matter more to you than the drive.

6. Do Antalya water park hotels work for toddlers?

They do if you pick the splash zones over the slide towers. Aqua Land’s family zones have shallow water and small slides. Miracle Resort Hotel has a separate 80 cm children’s pool with two slides. At Limak, keep toddlers to the children’s pools, since the main pools run 1.4 metres deep throughout and there’s no shallow end to fall back on.

7. Are there water park hotels in Turkey outside Antalya?

In Fethiye, Orka World Hotel & Aquapark has a park with 13 slides, a wave pool, a lazy river and a splash zone. Entry to the park comes with the stay. The hotel sits at the foot of Babadağ mountain, and UK tour operators sell it as a Dalaman holiday. That’s a different airport from Antalya, so price the flights before you settle on it.
