Oia is an incredible location in the northern part of Santorini. If you’re looking for private pool suites, the good news is – there are plenty of choices. There are well over a hundred hotels and villas that offer this feature. The standards are extremely high! With this in mind, we’ve considered all aspects to decide the top hotels. This includes staff, the views, facilities, and most of all, the private pools. Before we cover the best Oia hotels, here are some quick recommendations so you can plan your trip more easily.
Best Honeymoon Suites
- Katikies Santorini – The two Honeymoon Suites at the Katikies are both great choices. One has a private open-air jetted tub, and the other has a private plunge pool.
- The Saint Hotel – The One – Saint Villa has a private infinity pool and sun deck, as well as a rooftop hot tub. You also get access to your own private gym.
- Perivolas Hotel – There are three different Perivolas Suites available. All are great for a honeymoon, but the Perivolas Luxury Suite is the pick of the bunch. Carved into the cliffside, it has a private terrace and heated pool with views over the caldera.
Best Family Suites
- Canaves Oia Suites & Spa – The Three Bedroom Villa with Infinity Pool sleeps up to seven and has a spacious living and dining area. Besides the infinity pool, there is also a huge hot tub on the veranda. Their Two-bedroom Suite and Villa are good family options too.
- Santorini Secret Suites & Spa – The Junior Villa is located on Oia’s famous walking street and has two spacious bedrooms. There is also an outdoor patio with a dining area, sun beds, hot tub, and a private pool.
- Santo Pure Oia Suites & Villas – The Royal Suite will be more than enough for families here. It features two spacious bedrooms and a big veranda with its own private pool and heated jacuzzi. But if you need even more space, have a look at their Pool Villas.
Private Pool Villas for Large Parties
- Andronis Arcadia Hotel – They have Three and Four-bedroom Villas here. But Eden Villa is the biggest one with a pool, accommodating up to 12 people. It has two living rooms, six separate bedrooms with bathrooms, and a kitchen.
- Canaves Oia Epitome – For parties of up to 14 people, the five-bedroom Villa with Private Pool is a great choice. It is very secluded and has an expansive terrace area for gatherings.
Most Affordable Oia Hotels
- Lotza Studios – Lotza Studios have Junior Suites with pools, which are available for €200 early in the season.
- Sophia Boutique Hotel – The Superior Double Room with Plunge Pool is available from €269. They have outdoor plunge pools and terraces with sea views.
- Delta Suites – With a great location, close to the castle, the Superior Villa boasts a terrace with sea views and a plunge pool. It’s available for as little as €220 per night, but make sure you book early. It’s always booked out.
- Elysian Santorini – The Luxury Cave Villa with Plunge Pool has sea and sunset views. It’s available for €221 at the beginning of the season. They usually have extra discounts for early bookers.
Other Things to Consider
- Views – Oia is one of the best areas for sea, sunset, and caldera views. A lot of Oia hotels have private balconies to enjoy the scenery, including The Saint Hotel and Katikies Santorini.
- Infinity pools – The Perivolas Hotel has a superb communal infinity pool with excellent views. For a private infinity pool, check out The One – Saint Villa at The Saint Hotel.
- Cave pools – If you’re looking for this unique feature, the Cave Pool Suite with Caldera View at the Andronis Boutique Hotel will be hard to beat.
- Hot tubs – The Honeymoon Suite with Open Air Jetted Tub & Caldera View at Katikies is worth checking out. The hot tub is big enough for two, and the complimentary bottle of local wine makes the view even better!
- Location – If you’re looking for postcard-perfect scenery and sunset, Art Maisons Oia Castle could be the one for you. It’s next to the castle, near the end of the headland. It’s also within walking distance to the main town.
- Book Early – Santorini is a very popular holiday destination, particularly in Oia. People visit for honeymoons, family gatherings, and seasonal events. If you book a hotel last minute, there’ll be limited options. Try to plan at least 3 months in advance.
1. Andronis Arcadia Hotel
The all-suite Andronis Arcadia Hotel is located within walking distance of Oia and offers lovely sunset views of the Aegean Sea. The resort features an infinity pool, two upscale restaurants, and a spa. Their suites also have private pools, with the Eden Villa being the pick of the bunch. It can accommodate up to 12 guests so it’s great for big parties. The resort is clean and comfortable throughout and the helpful staff provide excellent service.

2. Katikies Santorini
At Katikies Santorini, each of the white-washed rooms has a private terrace with stunning sea views. The hotel also boasts three infinity pools, two deck areas, a champagne bar, and a restaurant. Sitting high on the cliffs above the Aegean Sea, you’re guaranteed caldera views. It’s ideal for romantic getaways, with the two Honeymoon Suites both offering seclusion and privacy. They both have private balconies, with one having a plunge pool and the other a two-person jetted hot tub. The standard breakfast is great, but you can also order a champagne breakfast delivered to your room.

3. The Saint Hotel
The Saint is blessed with a superb location and sweeping views of the caldera below. It’s within walking distance of many great restaurants and shops. There is also an on-site restaurant and a rooftop bar. The staff is excellent, and the clean and luxurious resort is beautifully designed. Some of the rooms lack privacy, but this is not an issue in The One – Saint Villa. Some of the best features include its private infinity pool, rooftop hot tub, and gym. The resort also has a communal outdoor swimming pool, but it’s only open from 11 am until 6 pm.

4. Andronis Luxury Suites
The Andronis Suites’ location allows guests to be close to the crowds of Oia, but still enjoy some peace and quiet. Set into the cliffs with stunning caldera views, the hotel features a luxury spa and a Mediterranean restaurant. Their suites have private infinity pools, cave pools, and heated hot tubs. The two Sunset Villas in particular have great views. But the extra butler service will take the experience to another level. Lastly, if you want to dine at their restaurant, book early because it’s very popular.

5. Perivolas Hotel
The Perivolas Hotel is located high on the cliffs. The location is within walking distance of restaurants but in a quiet spot away from the crowds. Each of the 22 private houses is set in restored caves. One of the standout options is the Two-Bedroom Villa, featuring a spa bath and steam shower in the master bathroom. More importantly, the outdoor infinity pool is huge! The resort also has a wellness center with a steam bath, sauna, and hot tub. For a memorable meal, the on-site restaurant is housed in a restored wine cellar and serves Mediterranean and Greek cuisine.

The Andronis Boutique Hotel is located on the main walkway of Oia. It is within easy reach of the main shops and restaurants. But first, make sure you try their organic restaurant. Couples can enjoy candlelit dinners, wine-tasting events, and even cooking lessons. Top it off with a romantic stay in the Cave Pool Suite. From the heated cave pool, you’ll have the best caldera views! For families, the Two-Bedroom Villa is more suitable.

7. Canaves Oia Epitome
Located in the northern part of Oia, Canaves Oia Epitome is set above the fishing town of Ammoudi. You can walk to Ammoudi Bay, Katharos Beach, or Oia Center. There’s a breakfast restaurant and plenty of relaxing areas for guests. Elegantly designed, the suites and villas include either a private pool or a plunge pool. For couples, the Hideaway Pool Suites offer a roomy living area and an outdoor dining area with sea views. For larger groups, there is also a Villa with a Private Pool that can sleep up to 14 guests.

Canaves Ena is located just far enough from Oia so you don’t have the big crowds from the cruise ships. Although it’s still close enough to walk. Each room has sea views but only some have private pools. For families, the Grand Two-Bedroom Suite is the best option. For more romantic stays, the Honeymoon Suite with Plunge Pool is the most talked about by previous guests. It’s located on the property’s highest level and has the best views. On your first night, make sure you book the restaurant too as it does get busy.

La Perla Villas and Suites is an adults-only resort within walking distance of Oia’s shops and restaurants. Their suites offer incredible views of the sea and the caldera. For groups of four, the Senior Suite with a private plunge pool is a popular choice. The other option with a pool is the Deluxe Suite, more suitable for couples. Breakfast is very good here, and you can have it delivered to your room, with or without champagne.

11. Aspaki by Art Maisons
Just a few minutes walk from Oia’s center, Aspaki by Art Maisons is in a great location. However, the front entrance sometimes gets crowded with tourists trying to take pictures of the caldera at sunset. The hotel has great facilities, including an outdoor pool, a spa center, and a bar area. Breakfast is served at the restaurant and the entire property is spotlessly clean. The best views are from the Cave Pool Suite and the Executive Suite, which take in the caldera and the town’s rooftops. They both have private pools, but the Cave Pool Suite has a little more character.

Santo Pure Oia Suites & Villas is located to the north of town, and it can be windy on the terraces at times. It’s quite a large property compared to other places in Oia. They have six outdoor swimming pools and an award-winning spa and wellness center. The Greek cuisine at the on-site Alios Ilios Restaurant is also incredible. All 85 suites and villas are extremely luxurious, but the Selini and Ilios Pool Villas are the standout options here.

Built on the side of a cliff overlooking the caldera, the location of Canaves Oia Suites & Spa is superb. It’s just a few steps away from all the shops and restaurants. The hotel has a fine-dining restaurant and wine cellar, a spa, and two outdoor pools. Although they do have plenty of suites with private pools. Most suites are best for couples, but there are some designed for groups like the Three-Bedroom Villa.

Conveniently located in the Oia Caldera district, Abyss is a five-minute walk from Oia Center. This modern hotel is in a quiet area, free from any of the city noise. While there is no restaurant on-site, there is a great place next door. Breakfast will still be delivered to your room. All their suites have sea views from the private balcony, with the best being the Grand Villa. You’ll love the unique pool design.

15. Art Maisons Oia Castle
The Art Maisons Oia Castle is the sister property of the Aspaki, and it’s located next to the castle. While there’s no communal pool on-site, you do have access to Aspaki’s swimming pool. But it’s 10 minutes away. Fortunately, all their rooms have private plunge pools or hot tubs. Perhaps the best views are from the Deluxe Pool Villa, which has an indoor, cave-style plunge pool with hydromassage jets. With a lower terrace and a rooftop terrace, you can enjoy the stunning caldera views.
