If you’re thinking of taking a family holiday to Krabi then you won’t be disappointed.

The Thai paradise has all the right ingredients for a family-friendly break.

It’s jam-packed with soft white beaches, azure waters, and activities aplenty, not to mention the friendly locals and tasty cuisine.

There’s also a bunch of resorts that cater to families exceptionally well, so whether you’re looking for something that’s large and all-encompassing, or something a little more laid-back and private, there’s something to suit.

We’ve comprised a list of the best luxury resorts for families, so if you’re looking for some inspiration, check these out.

1. Pimalai Resort & Spa

Is this resort Koh Lanta’s best-kept secret?

It claims to be, and we believe it could be true.

Part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, this resort is snuggled in a lush tropical forest within 100-acres of natural paradise.

Families looking for space and privacy should opt for the Beachside Villas: one, two, and three-bedroom configurations are available.

Villas come complete with direct access to the beach, lounge areas, terraces, plush bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, and minibars.

The two and three-bedroom villas also come with their own infinity pools to splash around in.

There are three excellent F&B options including the Spice and Rice restaurant serving up authentic Thai food, western fine dining, and a beachfront seafood restaurant.

Adults will love the onsite spa which has a full treatment menu and even offers complimentary spa classes to guests including The Art of Traditional Thai Massage where you can learn various techniques of this popular massage.

There are activities for the whole family too.

This includes complimentary non-motorized watersports, cycling, cooking classes, and excursions such as boat trips that can be arranged by the hotel.

2. Koh Jum Beach Villas

Very natural and completely luxurious, the Koh Jum Beach Villas is considered Thailand’s last remaining retro island experience.

Set in the heart of the Krabi Province, directly on the resort’s 700-meters of pristine beach and lavish tropical gardens, this is a fine resort that takes sustainability seriously.

You’ll find no televisions in the room, furniture made from recycled wood, natural ventilation, glass water bottles filled from their own water plant, and little single-use plastic to name a few initiatives.

19 villas with one to five bedrooms are available to choose from and all have a terrace, dining area, lounge, and private bathroom.

Finding something ideal for your family size is easy as each room has a slightly different configuration.

Some have semi-detached bedrooms for privacy, some have private pools, and others have large private communal spaces.

When it comes to dining, guests can select dishes made from fresh organic ingredients from the resorts garden and local suppliers.

Those interested in the organic garden can stroll through the herbs, fruits, and vegetables to explore the produce.

These go directly onto your plates and you can ask the gardeners to sample the produce picked in front of you.

Around the area, families can enjoy mountain climbing, biking, see mangroves, or even island hopping on a boat.

I find travel enriching. Nothing is more exciting to me than exploring new countries, cultures, and cuisines. So far I’ve visited much of Asia (my favorite continent), North America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe which is on the doorstep of my hometown of Manchester in the UK.
