Singapore is famous for its luxury shops, mixed culture, and incredible attractions. Whether it’s a stopover, late arrival, or early departure, you’ll be in awe of Changi Airport. And it’s often voted the best airport in the world. They have excellent facilities, but more importantly, there are a number of great hotels nearby. Before jumping into hotel reviews, let’s share some quick tips.
Hotels at Changi Airport
- Crowne Plaza Changi Airport – A very comfortable choice for an airport stay, the award-winning hotel is located inside Terminal 3. There’s a great pool and an MRT station if you plan to explore the city.
- YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport Landside – Located inside the Jewel Changi Airport Mall, there will be plenty of places to eat nearby. It’s easy to reach from all three terminals. If you want to explore outside the airport, Changi City Point is close by.
- Aerotel Transit Hotel, Terminal 1 Airside – Perfect for those transiting via Terminal 1, the hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and bar. Make sure you don’t clear customs, though, as this hotel is “airside.”
- Ambassador Transit Lounge Terminal 2 – For those transiting in and out of Terminal 2, you also have a convenient “airside” option. The hotel offers rooms as well as access to the lounge, 30-minute showers, and special “nap rooms.”
- Ambassador Transit Lounge Terminal 3 – If you have flights via Terminal 3, there is another Ambassador hotel with the same facilities. You can book the Ambassador facilities for as little as 6 hours at a time, making it ideal for short transits.
Singapore Hotels with Free Airport Shuttle
Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore and Village Hotel Changi by Far East Hospitality are among the few Changi hotels that offer free shuttle services from the airport. However, there have been occasional complaints about limited seats and scheduling. As long as you book early, there shouldn’t be any issues.
Changi Airport Hotels for Day Use
- Aerotel Transit Hotel, Terminal 1 Airside – Aerotel is a transit hotel inside Terminal 1 with a pool, bar, and gym. They offer flexible hourly booking in a minimum of 6-hour blocks.
- Ambassador Transit Lounge Terminal 2 – People transiting via Terminal 2 also have a good transit hotel. You can book rooms, lounge access, or a “nap room,” depending on how long you need. Or even book a short period so you can have shower access.
- Ambassador Transit Lounge Terminal 3 – The Ambassador Transit Hotel inside Terminal 3 has similar facilities to their property in Terminal 2. You can book shorter stays in the same way, too.
Crowne Plaza and YOTELAIR also have 4-hour day-use options, but you’ll need to contact them directly for rates.
Cheapest Hotels near Changi Airport
- D’Resort – This is one of the cheapest options with Standard Rooms going as low as $100 USD per night. However, it’s not in the best location. You will need to arrange your own transport since they don’t have shuttles.
- Village Hotel Changi by Far East Hospitality – Located a little over 15 minutes from the airport, the Village Hotel’s Superior Double Rooms are well-priced. Some days, they go for as low as $140 USD per night. The hotel also has free airport shuttles so you’ll be saving money on transport too.
- Changi Cove – Is another good budget-friendly option with starting prices at $150 USD per night. Their Deluxe King Rooms are good value for money and are only a little more than the Standard King Room. Plus, you also get free breakfast in the morning.
1. Crowne Plaza Changi Airport
The Crowne Plaza is located at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 and is ideal for a layover. Especially if you have an early flight the next morning. The rooms are very comfortable, and some are equipped with bathtubs. There is an outdoor swimming pool and gardens to relax in too. Just a short walk away is a 10-floor shopping mall. But if you want to venture out, there’s the MRT station below the hotel. It’s not the cheapest option, but Crowne Plaza has been voted the ‘World’s Best Airport Hotel’ and ‘Best Airport Hotel in Asia’ for the last eight years.

2. Capri by Fraser Changi City
The Capri by Fraser is located in Changi Business Park and is only a 5-minute drive from Changi Airport. It’s popular with people traveling for business as it’s right next to the EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre. There is an MRT station nearby, as well as the Changi City Point Shopping Centre. You’ll find plenty of restaurants there if you need a bite. After a tiring journey, check-in can be slow at times, but the rooms are cozy once settled.

3. Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore
A little farther out, Dusit Thani Laguna is about ten minutes from the airport. The hotel is linked to the Laguna Golf Course, so you can enjoy its driving range and two championship golf courses. They also have relaxing spots like the spa, swimming pool, and poolside bar. If you want to explore Singapore, they have free shuttles to Expo MRT station and Changi City Point. They also arrange taxis to the airport. While the food is great here, you may want to wait until you reach the airport for breakfast. Especially is you’re in a rush for early morning departures.

4. Park Avenue Changi
If you’re staying in Singapore for just one night, you can check out Park Avenue Changi. The location is in Changi Business Park, near the convention center and only ten minutes from the airport. There is an MRT station one minute away, and the Changi City Point shopping mall is also very close. The rooms are nice, but the breakfast could be improved, especially for early-morning flyers.

5. Changi Cove
Changi Cove is around a 20-minute drive from the airport and is set in a quiet area. The scenic Changi Boardwalk is close by, as is Changi Beach Park. It’s a good option if you don’t plan to go to the city and prefer a bit of nature. Changi Ferry Terminal is also nearby, and you can visit Pulau Ubin, which houses a nature reserve. The hotel itself has limited food options, however, Changi Village Food Centre is within walking distance. A swimming pool is included, but it’s not on-site, and there can be a wait for transport.

6. YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport Landside
The rooms are very small, and you don’t get much ‘real estate’ for your money, but they’re comfortable enough to stay overnight in transit. The hotel is in Jewel Changi Airport Mall, and you can walk to Changi Airport Terminals 1, 2, and 3. If you wish to explore the area, Changi City Point is a few minutes away. You’ll have quick access to the convention center too. Breakfast options could be improved, but there are more options within the terminals.

7. Aerotel Transit Hotel, Terminal 1 Airside
If you are looking for a short-stay transit hotel, the Aerotel Transit Hotel is very convenient. They have a flexible hourly booking system, which means you can book rooms in 6-hour blocks. Be aware that this hotel is “airside,” and you should not clear customs before checking in. The hotel is in Changi Airport’s Terminal 1. Its facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a poolside bar, a gym, and a library. The room rate is quite expensive for just a few hours, but you will save money by not needing taxis to and from the hotel.

8. Ambassador Transit Lounge Terminal 2
This is another “airside” hotel, but this time located in Changi Airport’s Terminal 2, close to the butterfly garden. The hotel offers 1- and 2-person ensuite rooms, bookable in six-hour blocks. You can also book for just lounge access or a “nap room”. The lounge has comfortable chairs, but they don’t recline, and the nap rooms can be a little noisy. 6-hour room bookings also come with an included but basic Bento Box Meal. The hotel has a gym and workspaces. There are also shower facilities for lounge access guests to freshen up before continuing their journey.

9. Ambassador Transit Lounge Terminal 3
If you are transiting via Terminal 3, you have the same options as their Terminal 2 hotel. You can book short stays in the lounge, nap rooms, or a room in 6-hour blocks. There is also an option to book 30-minute access to the shower facilities if you just need to freshen up between flights. It is also a little expensive for the time, but you get the convenience of being able to sleep without leaving the airport.

10. Village Hotel Changi by Far East Hospitality
The Village Hotel is located a fifteen-minute drive from the airport and is next to Changi Beach Park. Orchard Road, in the heart of the city, takes around 30 minutes to reach by taxi. The hotel has a fitness center and rooftop pool, and there is a free airport bus service. The rooms are very basic, but they are comfortable enough for an overnight stay between flights. There are also a few restaurants nearby, and you can take a post-meal stroll along the Changi Boardwalk for some fresh air.

11. D’Resort @ Downtown East
If you have children or want a peaceful short stay in Singapore, check out D’Resort. The hotel is surrounded by the natural greenery of Pasir Ris Park, where you can find a maze and a bird-watching tower. The hotel has an integrated water park, and guests can book rooms which include the entrance fee. It is also near a shopping mall and public transportation options. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the friendly staff help make it a good choice for a short stay.
