Margaret River region is famed for the wine grown in the area, but there is much more to Margaret River than just vineyards. Check out caves nearby including Mammoth Cave and Lake Cave. While on your wine tasting tour, stop at the Chocolate Company or the Margaret River Nougat Company to entertain the kids. Also, pop in to the Margaret River Sculpture Park, and take them to the Naturaliste Reptile Park.
For day tours, spend the day at Scott River at Scott National Park, and drop by the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse on the way as it overlooks the Indian Ocean and Southern Ocean. You can also take a trip to Perth, Fremantle, or checkout Wave Rock, one of the most amazing land formation in the region. Make sure you travel down the tin horse high-way, a 15 mile stretch of equine art near the road to Kulin.
