    Needs improvement

One of the largest Chinatown in the world. When I lived in SF, I used to go there to buy authentic Chinese food and goods. Not exactly a tourist attraction, but if you are craving good Chinese food, this is the place to be.

Great food here and a great place to window shop, we found a lot of great souvenirs here that we still have to this day. There are also a lot of shops that have strange items that no one will ever buy but are very cool to see. We found the best restaurant ever called New Woey Loy Goey, it was like dropping into China!

    Fantastic attraction

I explored San Francisco with a local and he took us to Chinatown. I would say that is like a classic bazaar in Europe with a bunch of miscellaneous shops. But what makes it different is the authentic Asian spirit that this place has. If I have to describe it with 2 words I would say colorful and crowded!

We bought a lot of souvenirs at very low prices. We went to a small restaurant for sake (Japanise traditional alcoholic drink made from fermented rice). My friends had some steamed pork buns. I didn’t try those because I am not adventurous about food. But my local friend told me that they are really popular and a must-try. So if you want to experiment with food definitely try the Chinese steamed buns.

Overall, it’s not a conventional tourist attraction, but if you have time and want to explore the city, definitely take a walk around Chinatown.

Friendly neighbourhood of SF where you can get amazing dim sums and other asian delicacies! Of course, you will also find many tourist shops if you want to buy souvenirs for your family. I would not call it a must-do, but still enjoyeable if you have enough time to visit.

If you want Chinese food and trinkets this is the place to go in San Fran. Loved walking around and checking out the different shops.

    It was good

I actually went to San Francisco’s Chinatown just to eat and buy stuffs. They said it is the largest one and still have some of the old Chinese architecture buildings.
