Wediombo is one of the furthest beaches from the main city of Yogyakarta. It takes about 3 hours drive and the interesting part of this beach is you can do a surf lesson with local surfers. They have some surf lesson package, from an hour package to three hours lesson. and the trainer was very friendly and keep the attention to teach you out. After finished a surf lesson, there is a pool next to sea located 15-30 minutes by foot. It's quite easy to find this pool since there are many other tourists will go there if they are not willing to try surfing here.

it was a nice beach with an adventurous things to do. Timang beach offers you a traditional island bridging experiences, you could try to bridge to next island using the traditional bridging system. But be aware of the safety through the rope and the "cable car" was build in the traditional way with plastic rope and wood. considering the safety aspects, I would recommend using proper bridge just next to the "traditional cable car" which costs less than the cable car.

I went to Sundak beach on a day with a purpose to explore beaches in the southeastern part of Yogyakarta. Similar to other beaches surrounded, Sundak beach offers a white sandy beach with less activities to do. You can't even swim when the tide is up, the attraction was limited. It's strongly recommended to take a day of beaches explore just to see around. You need a specific purpose to stay longer here, maybe a beach camp be the reason for that. On the day of my beach explore, only Sundak offers a cold beer for the tourist.

It was a secret waterfall before until this place became more popular. The first time I went there in 2009 and still no tourist there, but at the moment the tourist comes more and more. Personally, I'm keen on a less touristy place. In a positive side, the infrastructure built well than before. You can visit this secluded waterfall all year round. But, the best time to visit is during the dry season (March-August) because the water is not too high and relatively safe to do water activity.

Siung beach has plenty activities to do. If you like adventure, this beach is perfect for you. This place was famous for climbing activity and the cliff just located 5 mins walk from the parking lot. Try to contact local provider if you consider doing climbing here and don't have any climbing equipment. The last time I did climbing here, I did it independently. The other things you must do is beach trekking. Take an hours walk to get a secret seaside waterfall from Siung beach. The path is located behind the seafood shop near the beach patrol building. Follow the path and doing a step hike and continue to follow the path through paddy and corn field until you get the place named Banyutibo (there are a lot of sign board to address this place). That was my favorite places in Yogyakarta!
