Great Ocean Road is one of the highlights of my Victoria trip. We did the road trip on a gloomy day and passed by Port Campbell where we seemed to be driving over the clouds. The rock formations of the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge are some breathtaking sights to see. This tour is doable within the day but if time is not a problem, you can do it for two days to visit towns from Torquay through Princetown.

Flinders Street Station is the iconic station in front of Federation Square. This is where free trams going to the CBD start. The building still holds its architectural beauty; however, it tends to be too crowded all the time.

Found just in front of Flinders Street Station, this building is a landmark where street presentations are done, where restaurants sprawled, and where people just sit and people-watch. It is mostly busy all day and even at night. From the Fed Square, you can walk towards the Yarra River to relax and watch ducks.

Dandenong ranges is an interesting daytrip from Melbourne. Perfect for nature lovers where you can visit Doongalla Forest (for nice picnics and nature walks), Olinda falls (which was a bit dry when we visited), and Warratina Lavender Garden (which looks dull during autumn). Nevertheless, it was a nice drive out of the city because of the views of the mountains, forests, and vineyards.

I stayed in a hostel just in front of Albert Park. I enjoy having a walk or a job in the morning and afternoon and having picnic by the lake. It's also nice to watch kids playing sports in the afternoon. A perfect place to chill in Melbourne.
