One of the real highlights of any trip to Australia, the GOR offers spectacular views, famous beaches and pretty towns. The icon view of the Twelve Apostles is one of the images you are likely to see on any advertisement for Australia and especially Victoria. It does get busy and sometimes it often gets too windy but if you can take the scenic heli flight I would recommend it. Apollo bay and Port Fairy are lovely places to stay or just stop for food. Bells Beach has to be one of the most famous beaches in the world for surfing. This whole area is not to be missed.

Lovely relaxing place with great walks. The trees are an amazing feet of nature. A bit out of Melbourne in greater Victoria so not for those who only have one or two days. But if you're in the area for a little while then definitely worth the trip.

This long but attractive parade runs right from the parliament buildings to the war memorial. The design gives a dramatic grandeur to the capitol area and the views in both directions are photograph worthy. If you are in Canberra you will visit ANZAC Parade as it links the main features of the city.

A fun and scenic way to enter the gorge from the walking path above. The view as you come down is very pretty. If you're at the gorge have a go.

I really enjoyed taking one of the little river cruises on the Tamar. Not really a river but a large estuary the views of Launceston, pretty vineyards, historic buildings and into the open part of Cataract Gorge was well worth it. The cheapest was the Gorge cruise but other areas I found prettier.
