If you're looking for a surf break or a quiet walk, Diggers Beach is perfect. Not always so great for swimming as it isn't always patrolled, but a good option away from the crowds for surfing, fishing, body boarding and walking or just to sit and have time for yourself. Not too far out of Coffs Harbour, yet it feels a million miles away from anywhere.

Love Carobana and their products. Watch the staff make the carob products and then pick some up to take home. Located just outside Coffs Harbour in a quiet area. Love the carob honeycomb, and the carob is some of the best I've had (you can even order online if you get home and find you didn't buy enough!)

If you're in Coffs Harbour and looking for a great walk, Muttonbird Island is a must. As you walk along, you might spot a pod of dolphins or some Muttonbirds popping in and out of their nests. Great way for the kids to run off some energy as it is a pretty steep walk in places. If you visit between May & November, you might even be lucky enough to see whales passing by. Be careful as you get to the other side though - it's quite rocky below and easy to slip if you aren't watching what you're doing.

Robina Town Centre has everything you need from the affordable through to the high end options. Lots of places to stop for a meal, pick up anything you need or just wander through on a hot or rainy day. There are shops that are hard to find/aren't in many places elsewhere on the Gold Coast including a puzzle and games store, tea stores, Myer, David Jones etc. Gets extremely busy around the Christmas season and can be hard to find a park, but there are public transport options.

Forget fighting the crowds to take the kids to the beach - the Rockpools at the Broadwater Parklands are a great option. Kid friendly, lots of space to play, cafe close by and across the road from Australia Fair shopping centre. Plan a picnic, play in the water and then kick a ball around in the park or walk down to the playground. Great for a hot summer day when you want to cool the kids down.
