24 Sussex Drive is where the Prime Minister of Canada is supposed to live. Presently under renovation, the Prime Minister is not living there. The only way to see it is from the road and the trees and shrubs are so overgrown you can't really see much of anything. Its not far from the hustle of the city but I could have spent my time at a different attraction. I've given two stars because I feel there is history to the home but at present time its just not worth it.

I went to Ottawa a few times. Once in the summer and I took a boat cruise/tour along the rideau canal. It was fantastic, we purchased the tickets right near the Chateau Laurier and got on the boat just steps away. The boat operator knew lots of facts about the city that I didn't know. What a beautiful waterway! Now, another time I went was in the winter and I was so looking forward to skating on the canal. Ottawa has harsh winters, so harsh that when I was there at the end of January the canal was closed for skating because it was too 'frigid'.

Parliment Hill is where it's at in Ottawa! On the Hill you can often find events happening, its a great photo opportunity and a perfect place for a picnic. Across the street you can line up for free tours, however if you time it right, you can enter the Parliment building to attend a Question Period session in the House of Commons. The architecture of the buildings is amazing and you can spend quite a bit of time exploring the grounds.

This tour was so much fun! A little dated but the tour took you through the history of beer making for the Alexander Keiths brand. At the end of the tour you also get to sample various beers, which is always interesting. Make sure to book your time early though to avoid disappointment as tour times sell out fast.

Such a great place for Geocaching! The grounds are well kept and you can wonder for a long time without seeing anyone. We spent the afternoon here and were able to find three geocaches and another led us on a wild goose chase which we never found it. For a nice nature walk, it was perfect.
