Mostly locals at this market. Great place to get fresh produce. They have a lot of prepared food stalls inside, which is perfect for grabbing something for lunch. There were many dishes at this market that I was unfamiliar with. There are also plenty of food carts outside the market as well.

Walking around Old Phuket Town is so colorful and beautiful. There are tons of shops and cafes and at night a lot of the bars/restaurants have live music. If you are in Phuket for the beaches, I recommend spending at least a night in Old Town. There a plenty of guesthouses and hostels to stay at for a reasonable price.

There are a variety of shops within Limelight - I was able to find Christmas wrapping paper here during the holidays! The restaurants here are nice but expensive. Personally, I think the highlight is the night market that they have in the parking lot Thursday-Sunday. Great street food and cheap beer! I highly recommend going for dinner and listening to live music.

We were in Phuket Old Town for a couple days, so decided to check it out. If you are in the area I recommend going, but would not make a special trip from the beaches to see Monkey Hill. We heard about monkeys stealing food and backpacks, but we didn't have an issues on the day we went. We actually didn't see too many monkeys. The walk up was pleasant and we did enjoy watching the monkeys running around.

If you are new to Thailand night markets, this is a great place to start as it is mostly geared toward tourists. Go early, don't be afraid to bargain and come hungry. This is a great place to buy souvenirs. I got all of my friends Thai Silk scarves. Since I bought several from the same stall I was able to bring down the price quite a bit.
