Manchester United is one of the great sports teams in England, and their home turf at Old Trafford  offers 70-minute tours of the stadium, dressing rooms, and the grandstands that has proved very popular with sports fans. The Castlefield Urban Heritage Park is a place to explore old canals (look out for the Bridgewater canal, from 1761, that used to bring coal to Manchester), old Victorian houses and a Roman Fort. The Museum of Science and Industry is what Manchester’s past was all about and this museum displays all of Manchester’s past.

Kids & Family

Take the kids climbing at the Manchester Climbing Centre or the Vertical Chill Ice Wall. Kids all enjoy the Crystal Maze Experience. A day at the Greater Manchester Police Museum will entertain the older kids in particular as they discover all sorts of things about the police, policing and crime.

Shopping

Day Tours

Take a day out and travel to Liverpool, home of the Beatles, and take a ferry across the Mersey.
