Gardens by the Bay is a beautiful outdoor recreation development on over 100 hectares of land. It first opened in November 2011 showcasing the Flower Dome, and from there, the garden has expanded to feature other major areas including Cloud Forest, Supertree Grove and many other themed gardens. You could easily spend the whole day at this major Singapore attraction.

Highlights

  • Flower Dome – A huge dome housing flowers and plants from all over the world in a comfortable air conditioned environement. Keep an eye out for the colorful display in Flower Fields and the amazing cactus like sea urchins in the Succulent Garden.

  • Cloud Forest – At the entrance you’ll be impressed by a 35 meter waterfall before moving up the man-made mountain. In another impressive dome housing plants and trees found in tropical highlands 2,000 meters above sea level, you’ll be able to walk down from the mountains and get a bird’s eye view of the recreated tropical environement.

  • Supertree Grove – An elevator will take you up to this 22m high foot path for a unique view of Gardens by the Bay and these giant Supertrees. At night, the Supertrees light up and dance to the “Rainforest Orchestra”. First show is at 7:45pm, second show 8:45pm.

  • World of Plants – 6 themed zones showcasing an endless variety of plants and flowers. The zones are Secret Life of Trees, World of Palms, Understorey, Fruits & Flowers, Web of Life, and Discovery.

  • Heritage Gardens – Four traditional gardens a showcased here including an Indian Garden, Chinese Garden, Malay Garden and Colonial Garden.

  • Dragonfly & Kingfisher Lakes – There are a number of good photo opportunity points along both lakes. Stroll along the boardwalk and take in the view that Gardens by the Bay offers.

Tips

  • Main Attractions – The main attractions at Gardens by the Bay are Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and the Supertrees. ($5 adults, $3 children).
  • Shuttle to Conservatories – As you enter Gardens by the Bay from Marina Bay Sands Hotel, there is a shuttle service that takes you straight to the Conservatories. ($2 per person). Alternatively you can take a scenic walk through the Heritage Gardens or Dragonfly lake.

    Must visit place

Gardens by the Bay is a model of the whole Singapore – green, modern, intellectually organised, with numerous free facilities and, what is the most important, made for people. Everywhere you feel that urban designers thought about your pleasure and convenience while developing this park. Do not miss free shows there. We have visited a Supertree Light Show (is the must!) and a classical music concert. Check the schedule in the Internet before you go.

    A must see attraction

A must see at night! Supertrees light up and dance to the tune of whatever song is assigned for the night. When we went here, the song was taken from Star Wars movie. It was a great experience and I only saw this type of sight in Singapore. Definitely a must see!

    Fantastic attraction

Not much of a flower fan but there more than just flower viewing at Gardens by the Bay. I went there on multiple occasions such as (free) Movie Screening, (free) Supertree Light Show and Christmas Wonderland 2017. Gardens by the Bay holds different events around the year so be sure to check out their events page. There are food establishments available but it might cost you quite a bit. The best time to visit would be in the evening for the light show at 7:45 pm and 8:45 pm.

    Fantastic attraction

This is one of the top attractions of Singapore. This garden really shows how Singapore is an environment friendly country. It’s nice to go during the late afternoon when it’s not that hot and also during the evening, to watch the light show. One can also buy a ticket to go up and see a higher picture view of the whole Gardens by the bay.

    Fantastic attraction

The Gardens by the Bay are a really nice spot in Singapure and the admission to the park is free. Definitely check out the show at night, it´s really beautiful. The cloud garden was my favourite spot there and the admission fee of 12 dollar is definitely worth it.

This place is unreal! Singapore does everything on such a grand scale and it is so beautiful. I would recommend visiting this place if you have a few spare areas and at night time it is really nice. If it is too hot which it always is, take your time and visit in the late afternoon/evening and then go out for dinner or shopping after. Take your camera! You will want to have some photos here as a memory. There is so much to see!

    Fantastic attraction

How can Singapore have everything in it? Was my question after visiting Gardens by the Bay. For S$ 28 a person, you get the flower dome and the cloud forest. I suggest going to this garden by noon, spend 4-5 hours and then try to get the beautiful Singapore Skyline at sunset (this is free, of course). Anybody with a taste would enjoy and love Gardens by the Bay.

    Excellent

It was nice to visit Gardens by the Bay. It feels refreshing to see varieties of fruits and plants and how God created them all. The 2 domes are full of plant species, each of which has a history of its beginnings and scientific facts. Whether you are a lover of nature or not, it is a must to see this beautiful attraction when you visit Singapore.

Do not make the mistake of thinking you need to be a garden lover or old person to appreciate these gardens – whoah what a masterpiece! You are truly transported into another world, there is a reason this is what Singapore is famous for! I like to go late afternoon and then have dinner by the bay – perfect!

Gardens By The Bay Is an ecological Futurama. Located behind Marina Bay Sands the Gardens include the Flower Dome, Supertree Grove, and Children’s Garden among other less notables. Over engineered by the Singapore government these spectacles are transcendental. Each garden will leave you with a pronounced feeling of ‘how?,’ ‘why?’ and ‘awesome.’ There’s a separate entrance fee for each of the larger attractions so check the site for details before you go.

The super trees look very grand and beautiful especially at night. It is also a good place to bring your bikes for a casual cycle. The place it very big so if you have difficulty walking – perhaps get a tram/buggy ride instead. There is also a waterpark that is really fun for small kids!

A great place for an evening stroll! A real unique attraction that Singapore has to offer. The flower dome was definitely a must go too! It’s incredible the amount of work that goes into making this place so beautiful to look at. There is a light show at the supertree every night, so be sure to check it out too!

    Fantastic attraction

Being a nature and adventure-lover, Gardens by the Bay is my favorite among all places in Singapore! Walking the OCBC Skyway (although it’s not that high) was a bucket list checked for me. I was there during the best time of the day, before sundown as I saw the sun hide behind the Marina Bay Sands. Try lying down in the grass garden as well as you watch the Supertree lightshows! Such a sight not to miss!

Gardens by the Bay is a must-visit in Singapore. Every 8:30 PM there is a light show featuring the Supertrees. No worries because the show is free of charge. Come early and take a good viewing spot as other viewers can block your way. The whole area is so green and clean. Explore the whole garden area and appreciate its beauty.

An amazing place to visit. We didn’t see all there was to see, but what we did see was simply breathtaking. There are several themed gardens and lots of great spots for a picnic. There is also a nice playground for the kids. Even the sculptures throughout the gardens are worth your attention. You need to give yourself plenty of time to visit all the different areas here. We took the shuttle to the domes and enjoyed exploring the Cloud Forest. I can’t emphasise enough how much I recommend visiting this beautiful location. Don’t miss the spectacular light show in the evening!

    Fantastic attraction

This is not really an outdoor attraction but is definitely an enjoyable and wonderful way to spend time in Singapore. The Flower Dome is the most popular exhibit here. You can take an elevator to the top and enjoy the mesmerizing views of the entire Marina Bay Area. The tickets can be bought at the ticket counter but you should try to get one over the internet as it is reasonably cheaper. Since I was traveling with kids, I stayed there until the lights show which was good but nothing extraordinary.

    Fantastic attraction

One of Singapore’s newest attractions, the Gardens by the Bay features amazing greenery and landscaping, with walkways that bring you up into the air and around the flowers, plants and trees. And it is conveniently located next to Marina Bay Sands and other sights of downtown Singapore, so you can catch multiple attractions at the same time!

A must go for all first-timers and even locals! I have had a great time visiting the garden during my studies in Singapore. Each time I return, there’s something new that they offer because they often change by the festivities through the year. And also because it’s very huge, one day is definitely not enough to explore every part of the garden. I would recommend this place for singles, couples to even family for casual day outs. While you are there, stay till the night for the sound and light show!

I fall in love with this place since I’m a flower lover. The seasonal flowers blooming in Flower Dome are so beautiful and colourful that the view will just take your breath away. You can’t help but just keep on taking photos. The walk on the OCBC skyway is both amazing and exciting but not recommend for those who have fear of heights. Make sure you visit there in the night also since the lights of the Domes are truly magnificent and spectacular.

Visiting the Gardens by the Bay was definitely one of the highlights of my last visit to Singapore. The gardens are inspirational and provide a wonderful green space where residents and visitors can escape the concrete jungle. Don’t miss this attraction!

Beautiful place for couples and families. Very convenient to bayfront station as well as other attractions such as Marina Bay Sands just beside the gardens. Absorb beautiful supertrees and flora species especially at Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. There are restuarants as well as local hawker at venue too.

Strategically located near Marina Bay Sands Hotel but it is better to visit it during evenings to witness the light and sound show. The trees and gardens are worth the price. Allot three hours to explore the entire area.

    Fantastic attraction

Gardens by the Bay was my first stop when I went to Singapore just recently. It was amazing, definitely a MUST VISIT! There are several different Supertrees and two domes, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. You can also go inside the domes, and go on a skywalk weaving through the Supertrees. At night there is also a light and song show.

    Fantastic attraction

Definitely a must-see in Singapore! Gigantic domes and supertrees which will leave you in awe as you ponder on the talent and creativity that is on display. A big part of the park has no entrance fee though the main highlight of this attraction is definitely the contents of the two giant domes. The flower dome contains an unimaginable number of species from different environments (deserts, grasslands). Just the thought of those species living together under one roof id mind-boggling! Everywhere youlook, you are guaranteed to see a specie of a plant that you’ve never seen before. The diversity is truly fascinating! The Cloud forest dome on the other hand has this man made waterfall which to me demonstrated the best of both the natural and modern world. The temperature inside the domes are very refreshing. They use a uniqe way of cooling the place which is a remarkable feat as well. The cool air inside does not feel dry as opposed to regular airconditioning. Better to visit the domes after touring the whole complex outside since the cool air will definitely give you your energy back after walking around the park for several hours.
