    Fantastic attraction

One of the popular flea markets in Singapore and it will never go wrong to go here. To reach this place is very simple, you can use MRT and stop at Bugis station. From there, you just need to cross the street or follow the crowd.

The place is usually packed with people and you might find a little bit difficult to walk. However, the place offers a lot of shopping options for souvenirs. It also offers a variety of street food and really cheap one.

    Fantastic attraction

A shopping paradise for tourist. You can do all of your shopping here as it covers a range of items from normal wear, souvenirs, beauty products to street food. The best part of all, you can put your bargaining skills to the test and haggle your way to a cheap deal. It’s not just for tourists, locals shop here as well. Within the vicinity, there are 2 malls (Bugis Junction and Bugis+), National Library, famous Chinese temple (Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple), Trishaw services and a local hawker centre. I would highly recommend this place!

    Fantastic attraction

Compare to little India and other markets in Singapore, Bugis street offers bigger item selection. So when in Singapore this place is to go for less than a fancy item like souvenir, clothing, and accessories. The food seller is not bad as well.

    Fantastic attraction

Packed with people all around, which made it difficult to navigate due to crowds everywhere. Overall, Bugis Street is suitable for some local souvenir shopping where you can haggle prices with the shopkeepers and get discounted prices for almost every item. Conveniently located near an MRT station.

As with other markets in Asia, the place can be overly crowded. So, unless you come prepared and enjoy shopping with crowds, I don’t really recommend you to come here. But! This place is high on the list as an affordable place to shop as it has a wide variety of vendors selling knickknacks of Singapore. I would recommend to check different shops and try to haggle before deciding to buy something.

Bugis Street is extremely crowded and at the same time a must visit for any bargain shopping lover. I would rate it 5 stars for its shopping but the crowd management is really poor. So, 4 stars is decent enough. I spent around 3 hours in this busy street, checking out the various stores and checking for the best prices and finally was able to shop a truck load of stuff.

This place is great for shopping souvenirs from Singapore. Prices are cheap and is open till midnight. Actually, they call it the night market of Singapore. You can see variety of goods, foods and drinks. Easy access thru MRT Bugis station or a cab or a bus.

    It was good

Very VERY crowded location. Personally not a fan of crowded shopping but if you are cool with it, this is the place to get clothing items which are nice and very reasonably priced. Its interior out look and design is similar to malls in Thailand!

    Fantastic attraction

Great place for shopping, photography, and people-watching. There are lots of interesting shops selling everything from jewelry, phone accessories, clothes and trinket gifts to take home. Easy to reach by MRT, and it is also close to other malls, like Bugis Junction.

Very popular place with the local youngsters. If you want to shop but are on a budget, this is definitely the place for you. Most of clothes here are <$20 per piece. You can also bargain with the seller if you want it at a lesser price (doesn't always work though).
It is named 'Bugis Street' but it isn't just a street. There are several levels to it.
Giving it a 4 star because I've been there countless times but I still get lost.

This is one of the best place for shopping cheap clothes! Also nearby are Bugis Junction and Bugis Plus which have lots of good Asian restaurants as well as novelty shops!

    It was good

Cheap clothes but ok quality. Stuff probably from Taobao, China. Remember to bargain. Local food inside the bugis village is worth a try (tutu kueh, peanut pancakes, pao). Very touristy, might be packed during the weekends.

Bugis Street is one of the places to go to if you are looking for souvenirs for your family and friends. The best thing is that getting there is fairly easy. One just has to board the MRT, stop at Bugis and it’s a short walk away.

Bugis Street is all about shopping! This is where I got my 3 cute Merlion stuffed toys. There are lots of fashion stores selling at reasonable prices. Definitely a must-go for shopping addicts!

    Needs improvement

Hawkers, shopping and more shopping are the words to describe this place. This is where you can get your singlets, magnets and I love SG bags. If you are traveling light and want to fill your luggage with new touristy clothes when you get home, Bugis street should be your first stop. Prices are reasonable and you have a lot of options.

A good place for foreigners and tourists to experience what is closest to a permanent “pasar malam” (local bazaar) in Singapore. Sells all kinds of local street food, little accessories and various Singapore-themed souvenirs. The stuffy atmosphere, the narrow little lanes and tiny shop after shop is increasingly becoming a rare sight in first world Singapore. Be a tourist, buy an ice-cold drink and wander the place, sweat for a bit and then head to the air-conditioned shopping malls nearby to cool off!

Bugis Street Market is another alternative shopping area if you’re sick and tired of Singapore’s malls. It is a local flea market – like those in Thailand, with numerous stalls selling cheap fashion items, souvenirs, trinkets, and so on. It’s very close to the train station so you can just quickly drop by and check out a few items to bring back home.

Bugis Street is a decent sized market for picking up cheap souvenirs. It was here I first tried Durian, the king of fruits. If you can get past the smell, its worth trying. Bugis itself is a great area for shopping, and let’s face it, who doesn’t like shopping?
