One of the liveliest cities of Canada, Montreal is a center of numerous events that both locals and foreigners can partake in.  Many of the said events and festivals have French heritage. If you have the opportunity to visit Montreal any time of the year, check some of the fun activities below:

 If you are interested in bike tours, the Montreal Bike Fest is just the right event for you. This summer fest features 3 cycling tours. It is also a fitting tribute to the bicycle as a healthy and efficient form of transportation. Montreal Bike fest is not just any other racing event in the city, but also as a useful education tool to teach the history of biking and its modern technological advantages and uses. Held every second Saturday of July at the Island of Montreal each year, the Montreal Bike Fest is also called B Day. This is a free, fun-filled event that any bicycle enthusiast will surely enjoy.

 Known locally as the Acces Asie, the Asian Festival  was formed about 10 years ago to give credit to the contribution of the Asians in the area. This event celebrates Asian presence with dance, music, theater, film art, and many other performances all throughout the city. Usually happening during the last weekend of June, this event is located in downtown Montreal.

 There is one type of music in Canada that is not often promoted called Chamber Music. The Montreal Chamber Music Festival was created with the intention of spreading Chamber music to the general population. This festival takes place every second weekend of June. Jazz is often a favorite accompaniment with Chamber music. Celebrated on Catherine Street in West Montreal, the Chamber Music Festival is open to the public for free. This event is perfectly suited for a family vacation.

 While Asian Festival was created to honor Asians, Festivalissimo was designed to give credit to the contributions of  Iberian Latin culture in Montreal. The Festivalissimo occurs every last weekend of April. Activities take place throughout the city and include vendors who sell wares and items on the sidewalks in the downtown district. Films in movie houses and music, even street music, are also honored in this festival. Open to all, this celebration of Iberian Latin culture is one of the must-seen activities in Montreal.

 One of popular events in Montreal is the festival of snow or Fete de Neiges. This activity is held at the Parc Jean-Drapeau every second Sunday in January. Activities include building snowmen for children, skating, ice sculpture displays, tube lines, sledding, and other activities that require snow. Since Montreal gets a bundle of snow at this time of the year, your whole family can bundle up and enjoy this annual event to the fullest.

 The Films On Art Festival is a fun-filled competitive festival that feature video and films about arts. This event is held all throughout Montreal during the first week of March in various theaters. This free-for-all event so anyone can watch the shows. You want to checkout the festival when you are in Montreal at this time of the year.
