5.) Great Barrier Reef–This natural landmark is visible from space due to its huge wide area coverage. It is home to some of the world’s rarest sea organisms. Many other creatures are being discovered from time to time here. This is the most heavily visited tourist destination in the country. It stretches about 80 million acres along the North East Australian Coast.
6.) Kakadu National Park–Declared as one of the World Heritage sites in Australia, this park covers an amazing 5 million acres in the Northern Territory. It is also home to about 300 aborigines of Australia. They live in the savannah woodlands and Tidal Wetlands.
7.) Port Arthur–This was a notorious penal colony during the British rule. Tourists can take a guided tour around the facility. The doors of this prison have peculiar designs adding to its uniqueness. Boys as young as nine years old were believed to have been imprisoned in this once brutal prison. It is one of the many penal colonies erected by the British during their colonial rule.

Fraser island is actually completely made of sand. You can drink the water there as well, but its so pure there’s no nutrients in the water.
